{"id":107,"date":"2013-06-03T20:00:39","date_gmt":"2013-06-03T20:00:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/libretro.wordpress.com\/?p=107"},"modified":"2015-10-18T04:03:24","modified_gmt":"2015-10-18T04:03:24","slug":"retroarch-v0-9-9-released-where-to-get-it-on-each-platform","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.libretro.com\/index.php\/retroarch-v0-9-9-released-where-to-get-it-on-each-platform\/","title":{"rendered":"RetroArch v0.9.9 Released &#8211; where to get it on each platform"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>RetroArch v0.9.9<\/strong> has officially been rolled out on all platform targets.<\/p>\n<p>The new platforms that are supported with this release of RetroArch are as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>iOS (both jailbroken and non-jailbroken &#8211; non-jailbroken requires that you are a registered developer and can compile your own copy of RetroArch + cores)<\/li>\n<li>Blackberry 10<\/li>\n<li>Blackberry Playbook Tablet OS<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The other platforms which are already supported by the RetroArch\/libretro projects have all received updates (with some pretty extensive changes &#8211; more on that in an upcoming blog post).<\/p>\n<h1><strong>WHERE TO GET IT<\/strong><\/h1>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration:underline;\"><strong>Windows<\/strong><\/span>: New users can download 32- and 64-bit flavors of RetroArch and RetroArch-Phoenix from Themaister&#8217;s site:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/themaister.net\/retroarch.html\">http:\/\/themaister.net\/retroarch.html<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Existing users can\/should download the new version through RetroArch-Phoenix&#8217;s built-in &#8216;RetroArch Updater&#8217; utility. (this is the preferred update method for existing users to save massive bandwidth!)<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration:underline;\"><strong>Mac OS X<\/strong><\/span> users can download hunterk&#8217;s builds from this post on the libretro forum:<\/p>\n<p>http:\/\/forum.themaister.net\/viewtopic.php?pid=459#p459<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration:underline;\"><strong>Debian\/Ubuntu\/Mint<\/strong><\/span> users can add hunterk&#8217;s Launchpad PPA repository to their Synaptic\/apt sources:<\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/launchpad.net\/~hunter-kaller\/+archive\/ppa<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration:underline;\"><strong>iOS<\/strong><\/span> users can find RetroArch iOS in one of Cydia&#8217;s default repositories &#8211; ZodTTD &amp; MacCiti.<\/p>\n<p>You can also add our own Cydia repository in order to get it, located at:<\/p>\n<p>http:\/\/themaister.net\/cydia<\/p>\n<p>Most cores will work with both tethered and untethered jailbreaks, but cores that require the use of a dynamic recompiler (dynarec; DeSmuME and PCSX-ReARMed) will require a full, untethered jailbreak to function.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration:underline;\"><strong>Android<\/strong><\/span> users can get the latest version from the Google Play Store.
